Forest
Service proceeding with plans for North Cache,
East Jackson:
The Forest Service
wants to replace some administrative buildings
in town, put more employee housing in the Snake
River Canyon and on Nelson Drive by the Putt-Putt
trailhead and pay for all this by selling off
part of its 15-acre parcel on North Cache.
If they don't get what they want, officials
say they may move the Bridger-Teton headquarters

WYDOT pushes plans
for 5 lanes all the way to Hoback Junction:
The recession has postponed reconstruction of “Jackson
South,” the 7-mile section of Hwy. 26/89/189/191
from southern South Park Loop Road to Hoback Junction,
until 2016. But Wyoming Department of Transportation
officials want to nail down WYDOT's plans for a
5-lane design of that section, despite community
opposition.
